It's been a week of exciting developments for Noah. As mentioned in the previous post, we realised last weekend that he could sit up on his own. He's been doing that quite a bit this week, getting progressively steadier. And at the same time he's started scooching all over. That's what I call it anyway. Not really crawling, but more hauling himself around all over in a version of the combat crawl, except that he uses his arms to pull himself and drags his legs along. It's quite fun to watch. And ... read more
Party Boy
Last Saturday, my Daddy and Mummy brought me to Gor Gor Leon's Birthday Party. I'm not too sure what a party is exactly but it appears to involve going to someone else's home and playing with all their toys and no one stops you. How amazing is that!Well, Gor Gor Leon had some great toys! His Mummy rented a huge bouncy castle with loads of balls that I spent some time exploring.Huh? All these balls are for me?My parents got kind of excited when they realised that I could sit up on my own without ... read more
A Leisurely Lunch
There were many things we used to take for granted, like eating out. Since Noey's been along, the 2 of us have rarely had the opportunity to go out and have a nice leisurely meal together. I think for the most part, we would much rather have him along with us. But once in a while, it's good to get out a bit and connect, just the 2 of us. Last weekend after Noey obligingly took a nap, DD and I sneaked out for lunch, and not wanting to venture too far, ended up at Tin Hill off Sixth Avenue. The ... read more
-Blank-
My computer at work seems to have decided to play its part in ensuring that I waste less time in the office. On top of the fact that the Company has decided to block access to Facebook, ever since I've come back from maternity, it has refused to load my blog properly -- all I get when I try to click onto it is this page:I'm not sure what's wrong with it! I've tried deleting the temporary internet files and cookies in the hope that it was just a bad copy that was saved, but sadly, nothing ... read more
5 Months and Counting
On 2 March 20095 months old! Can it be? It doesn't seem too long ago when you were the wee little one that we first cradled in our arms, and yet here you are, so quickly growing into your own little person. I can't remember you looking any different from now, so imperceptibly have you grown in my eyes, but the photos tell another story. You've changed and grown so much, my little man.Someone (I think it was Auntie Peifen) told me you feel a lot of guilt about everything as a mummy, and this ... read more
Fairmont Mini-Break
We had a little mini-break over the weekend when we packed ourselves up and popped over to the Fairmont (formerly Raffles the Plaza) for a night. We had a voucher for a free night's stay which expires in April, so we thought now was as good a time as any to use it. Especially with me just back to work, it seemed ideal to work in some family time. Also, since we are tinkering with the idea taking Noah to Sydney to visit some family there, we thought we'd better start by taking it slow and trying ... read more
Back to Work
The much anticipated first week of being back to work is over and it went rather well, all things considered. For me, it took a while to adjust back to office life. There were the small things, like remembering to bring my office access card around with me (I kept forgetting it!) and having to recall all my passwords. The Company Helpdesk got many calls from me to reset everything. And when I left for lunch, I forgot my usual protocol of taking my phone and wallet only and instead brought my ... read more
Michelle and Jon Wed
We journeyed to the East on Saturday morning with Noah (after his morning bath) to attend Mich and Jon's wedding. It was a lovely affair, and not only because of the many pretty details that they had worked into the decorations, but also because of the obvious joy many of their friends and relatives shared in coming together for the event, in particular the youths of their church fellowship that both Michelle and Jon are close to. The flood of photos on Facebook taken at their wedding by their ... read more

I did say he liked to clutch the sides of his tub while bathing. Ah, this is the life! ... read more
They Grow Grow Grow
When you're a little being in the midst of growing-growing-growing, a lot can happen in a week. This week Noah progressed from being sort of able to roll from his back to his front, to managing to roll from back to front at will mostly in one direction but getting his arm stuck under him in the progress, to rolling over in both directions from back to front, to proceeding to roll over every instance he got and managing to extract his arm from under him with relative ease, to flipping himself from ... read more
