It was family gatherings galore for 元宵 this year, starting with a visit to Uncle B & Aunty C’s condo at Sentosa Cove for lunch.
It was our first time in Sentosa Cove and the suakus that we are, we were gawking all the way in at the huge houses lining the road. And we got a pretty good viewtoo, since the houses had neither gates nor fences in front nor between them to block the view. It was quite a sight, though we were, once again, given examples of how money can’t buy taste.
I must say it was a really different experience being at the Cove — it almost felt like we were on holiday, with the sea breeze blowing through the unit and the ocean view you could get from the living room. It was unreal, having the boats whizz by every once in a while.
Noey’s favourite part (and ours too really!) was the extremely shallow wading pool right out front. While he’s not that fond of the beach, this boy is quite the water baby. And since we were on the ground floor and literally a hop, step and jump away from the water, it wasn’t long before we were couldn’t resist and got right in.
… and hits dear Auntie Nat most… inconveniently. I shall spare her the embarassment and not post some of the other photos!
Ah, I would dearly love to have a holiday home on the island! Someday maybe?
(Yes, this is a very backdated post! But since I already uploaded the photos, I insist on posting!)
