It was on a very wet Thursday that we made our way down to Gymnademics. Just as well we were going to the ARC huh! (ARC = Ark, geddit?)
Ok, ok, sorry for the lameness.
It was Gymnademics time! But with a difference, as we headed down to visit Gymnademics’ latest branch at the Alexandra Retail Centre, or ARC or short.
As you might know if you’ve been following my blog, Nomi has been attending classes at Gymnademics for the past, hmm, many months. She started in the Pre-Fellow class, which I previously reviewed here and here. Since then, she’s been upgraded to the Fellow class (for 2-3 year olds) and is still really enjoying it. I think this is especially after the recent revamp of the Fellow programme to really stretch the 2-3 year olds. I’ll be sharing more about this in a subsequent post that will be coming up shortly so do watch out for it.
We were down to check out the new centre and it sure did look fine! All swanky and new and ready for more play and learning.
Here we are!
Kiddies getting themselves checked and their hands cleaned before stepping into the rooms.
Bright and cheery classrooms.
We were there for a session of free play, and the kids wasted no time in getting comfortable.
Meips was happy about one thing for sure: that she was going to have the opportunity to play with Teacher Ally again! Teacher Ally was her favourite teacher and we’re awfully sad that we no longer have her with us at the Toa Payoh outlet as she’s transferred over to ARC. But our loss is the new centre’s gain.
Swing! Easily Meips’ favourite thing to do. And she’s really good at it!
Tunnel fun.
Learning to hop.
Up on the balance beam.
Run up the slope, jump down and do a forward-roll! Sounds simple enough?
Noey with the two rockets ships he built – an alien ship and a human ship. “The aliens are the good ones and the humans are the evil ones.” he said. Kinda confirms for me that he’s really more an alien, as I’ve always thought!
Meips building her fence and walling herself up… in the wall storage cupboard!
It was a fun way to spend an afternoon.
If you’re interested to enjoy some free play at Gymnademics, this is available at Gymnademics at ARC on Wednesday to Friday from 10am to 4pm. Rates are at $15 an hour or $40 for 4 hours. In case you’re wondering, you don’t have to use up the full 4 hours at one go. This can be broken into separate sessions totalling 4 hours. Personally I think this is a great space, especially if you’re looking for somewhere for your young child to play safely. I think babies and toddlers in particular would enjoy the space to freely exercise their crawling and walking skills. Older children might enjoy the gym equipment and toys.
If you are interested in enrolling your child in classes at Gymnademics, there are also a number of promotions ongoing in celebration of the opening of their new centre at ARC. Sign up for a new class package at Gymnademics at ARC by 30th Nov 2013 and get a waiver of the registration fee and one complimentary session! You also stand a chance to win attractive prizes in their ARC Opening Lucky Draw.
Giveaway Time! I have a 4-HOUR PLAY PASS (worth $40) to give away! Just follow the steps in the steps below. Note that you MUST leave a comment here with your e-mail address to qualify (if not I will not be able to contact you if you win!).
This giveaway will run from 8 Nov to 14 Nov 2013 inclusive. All entries will be verified against the entry criteria before the winner is notified. This giveaway is only open to persons residing in Singapore.

I'm commenting because I share your sentiments about Teacher Ally! She's super energetic and I was so disappointed to hear that she was going to the ARC, because it's too far for us. The new place looks great though. Maybe we will pop by one day after we get back from Oz!
