After the rather sombre tone of my previous post, it actually seems like an appropriate time to mention the Happee Day Mini-Carnival — the brainchild of Daphne of MotherInc.
I can only imagine the intense pain and grief a family goes through when a loved one is diagnosed with cancer. All the more so when it is a child who is suffering the illness.
This is where Happee Day comes in. Daphne is working with the Children’s Cancer Foundation to organise a morning of fun for 30 children who are fighting cancer, an event to bring these children (and their families) a little joy, and make them smile.
They are looking for volunteers to help out so if you’re free and want to do something meaningful, hop on click on the widget on my side bar on the right.
Funds are also raised throughout the month of October for the Children’s Cancer Foundation through the publicity for this event. So if you can’t make it, you can still help by donating generously.
Check it out!
