After his first Lo Hei experience of the year, Noey hasn’t been able to get enough of the whole experience — he absolutely loves it, and he makes enough noise to show you that he does!
Our most enthusiastic “Lo Hei-er” certainly adds to the festivities!
With the CNY period officially coming to a close, I think there’s just about time for him to squeeze in a final Lo Hei session this weekend and show off his Gong Xi gestures and collect some angpows for his efforts.
Speaking of angpows, believe it or not, this boy can recognise an Angpow in all shapes, sizes and colours. “Angpow!” he’ll declare, unerringly, whether they be red, gold or any other colour. That skill, completely untaught, would stand him in good stead, me thinks!
Another funny thing he does is to head straight for the mandarin oranges when he sees them, hold one in each hand, and walk to any adult, whether they be strangers or familiar faces, and hand them the mandarins. Sometimes he will throw in a Gong Xi for good measure. The old folks are always suitably impressed and the rest of us just crack up.
So much as I dislike Chinese New Year (or the majority of it anyway), it is shaping up to be Noey’s favourite holiday!

So clever! Nat still has not gotten the hang of cny yet. Though he's quick in taking the red packets, say "xie xie" and give to mummy. Hah!

He does seem like he had a very good time! Xy's reaction to CNY was rather uninteresting, except that she says 'xin nian kuai le' when she sees all the red CNY deco..
