We were recently offered an opportunity by Playground Pictures to get some family photos taken. I got the photos last week, and what can I say? I love them!
With an early morning start, I wasn’t sure how cooperative the kids were going to be. Fortunately, Ken came prepared. He and his assistants did a good job engaging the kids, and his handy bag of props certainly kept them occupied! I think the props also helped make the pictures that much more interesting.
As anyone who has attempted to take photographs of pre-schoolers and toddlers would know, it’s an unpredictable affair. Countless times I’ve asked Noey to smile for me, only to be rewarded with a fake grimace. Nomi on her part would flash me this pained look that DD calls her ugly face. Haha.
But we all know that the best pictures are the ones that capture genuine smiles spontaneously borne out of real delight. We got plenty of those on this Saturday, and I was glad that Ken was quick to capture these moments.
Not to mention one of the most perfect brother-sister photos that we’ve ever gotten of the two kids together. LOVE!
A friend commented that the photos captured the essence of our family dynamics, and I think that is exactly right. This is how we are, on a Saturday morning in park, albeit much more colour-coordinated than we usually would be! And that is just what I wanted.
Some good news to share: Playground Pictures is currently having a special Christmas Promotion: Get a 1.5hr outdoor photoshoot for just $250! On top of that Facebook Fans get an additional $10 off. Just like their Facebook Page to qualify! The package includes:
- 5 x 4R photos
- 2 x 2R photos
- Soft copies of all high-resolution images, fully edited, on a customised DVD
- Home delivery
So if you’re thinking of getting some family photographs taken, don’t miss out on this great offer!
I’m thinking this might be a good opportunity for us to let the kids get some pictures taken with the gramps. That would make a good Christmas gift, wouldn’t it?
* I received a complimentary photoshoot for the purposes of this review, but all opinions expressed here are strictly my own. Besides, in this case, I think the photos speak for themselves!

Thanks Susan! I was quite pleased with my colour choice, even if it was by default since we didn't really have many matching colours!
