Beast of Burden

January 5, 2010 by Mummybean 8 Comments

Noey wanted to push the stroller and because it was just impossible carrying him while he squirmed himself downwards to hold onto the stroller bar, DD decided to rotate the handle bar to the lowest setting and let him at it.

And whaddya know, our litte pack horse managed to push the stroller, loaded with bags, for quite a distance. He made it from around Casa Verde all the way up the slope and some way along the road before we stopped him. I’m not good with distances but I’ll say it was about 200m up a gentle gradient. He got many amused looks along the way and one boy on a skate scooter (I think he was about 10 or 11) actually stopped and stared and told us “Wow, your baby is really strong!”. Hahaha.

You can see for yourself.

We had to stop him after a while cos I really was feeling like I was making him do child labour! He wasn’t pleased, but on the journey back home, he was out like a light in his car seat so i guess he did exert quite a bit of energy!

    AHHHH! Raeann has the exact same strange desire to push the stroller!! We walked home from J8 once with her pushing the stroller with the groceries! Then many other times thereafter. She likes to push the stroller when we go for a walk with Latte too. It's quite a sight and I feel rather embarrassed actually. Heh.

    Yeah I think it's a kids' thing. Heh. But Noey is strong though. We all knew that long ago. Haha.

    Yuling :: Hey, maybe you can get Raeann one of those doll strollers? Noey was playing with one at a friend's place and he really enjoyed piling the toys on and wheeling them around. Maybe then she can use that instead of the real stroller?

Michelle :: Yes, and they always want to do what they can't! I'm still surprised sometimes by how strong he can be.

MG ::
