Lanterns and More Lanterns

September 15, 2011 by Mummybean 2 Comments

In celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival on Monday, Noey got to carry lanterns, not once, not twice, but three times for three days in a row.

On Saturday with our neighbors in our estate…

On Sunday with all the little kiddies at Elly’s Lovely Little Lantern Party…

And on Monday with us, his old fogies. (Finally in the dark!)

I’d say he’s very adept at lantern carrying now. He did really well carrying lanterns with a live flame and didn’t burn up a single lantern or burn himself in the process. Whew. I like these old school lanterns best anyway and was happy that no one bought him a techno-music-playing electric lantern this year. He also had his first encounter with sparklers, which he rather enjoyed.

Pity the view of the moon was obscured by the terrible haze on Monday.

Now to finish up all the mooncakes that we still have sitting around in the fridge…
