Man Yue

We had a little do just for family to celebrate the little girl’s full month on Saturday. It was a simple affair and learning from the last time with Noey where it just passed us by, I actually managed to take some pics this time!

The different favour boxes which were distributed to those who came on Saturday, as well as friends and colleagues. Cupcakes from ET Artisan Sweets and chocolate petit fours from Gobi.

Birth announcements — I was quite proud of these! Friends on facebook would have seen thee photos which we had taken ourselves. DD wanted to try to reproduce some of the photos taken by professional photographers and I think he did a pretty good job, despite us being handicapped by not having the appropriate props! We then laid out the card ourselves and got it printed at Ultra Supplies at Queensway Shopping Centre.

Not a great photo but the only one I have of our little guest of honour in her outfit! I couldn’t resist putting her in a little skirt for the day. Yes, girls are definitely more fun to dress!

Proud grandparents.

Noey making himself comfortable on Godpa’s lap. In fact, he appeared to have spent his time making himself comfortable on the laps of various folks. I saw him plonked on Felix’s lap together with Shane (Felix’s son) being read a story. Mental note: Need to impress on him the fact that not everyone is a chair he can sit on at will!

Us with the kids’ great-grandma — now a great-grandmother of 4! Naomi is the first girl.

Wiped out after a long day.

Incidentally, the food, catered from Four Seasons Catering really wasn’t bad and was quite popular with the guests. We ordered the tea menu and it was quite good value, compared with the other caterers we checked out. Pity I forgot to take a picture of the buffet. That said, the most popular dish was probably my mother-in-law’s pork trotters in black vinegar!

A very pretty celebration! DD really is a fantastic photographer. Those pics are nicer than a lot of 'professional' ones I've seen!
