We have a practice of praying with Noey every night before he goes to bed. It started out with DD praying for all of us, but has recently evolved into a practice where DD prays and Noey repeats after him.
On Saturday night, DD was suffering from a bad sore throat, so he asked me if I would pray instead. “I will pray!” quipped Noey. We were more than happy to let him pray for all of us. And this is what he came up with:
“Thank God for the world so sweet.
Thank you God for the sky.
Thank you God for the birds.
Thank you God for making us.
Please bless Noey and Mei Mei and Mummy and Papa.
Please bless Noey and Mei Mei and Mummy and Papa.
And also… and also… and also…
Thank you God for making us. And thank you God for legs.
In Jesus’ Name we pray, AMEN!”
