We spent the first 3 days of our holiday staying with DD’s Dad and family at their place. Our original plan was to go chiong the sights first and before meeting up with everyone some time, and on hindsight, I’m very glad we didn’t do that. Being in a home environment was wonderful. It gave us a chance to recover and get over jet lag, all in the comforts of home. There was always someone to watch over Noey, and even better, we didn’t have to worry about food, provisions or entertainment for Noey.
As for Noey, well, he just lapped up the attention.
(It’s a drum actually)
As expected, Noey didn’t eat well the first day or two, and in that respect, I was glad we were based where it was easy to whip up some familiar porridge for him. Although Noey is mostly able to eat table food, I had brought along a mini crockpot for emergencies and it came in handy indeed when we were staying in since everyone then didn’t have to cater their meals especially for him.
We also took the opportunity to visit some sights further afield from the City itself, which i will post about in coming posts. (We got driven too, so we could just sit in the car and sleep. What luxury!)
As the days passed by, we realised, even at that early stage that our holiday was going to be too short! Sigh!

I was going to say what Michelle did! The genes are strong there! Did D grow up there? It looks like just a lovely home to be in!

corsage :: hah, i was v amused by the resemblance myself when i first met his dad 🙂 DD's dad moved to Sydney when DD was in his teens I think? It is a lovely place.
