Two Tots in a Plane + Four Cow Farm Coupon Code

December 6, 2012 by Mummybean Leave a Comment

Will you be travelling during the current school term break? If you are, I assure you I'm very jealous! For the first time in a long while, we'll be staying put the entire time during this year end break. My husband's schedule this year is such that he is only available during the Christmas week, by which time, it's really too late to be going anywhere. We're thinking of doing a staycation after Christmas instead. Or maybe just holding over all plans till next year because the prices for ... read more

Noey the Builder at the Lego Duplo Kids’ Event

December 5, 2012 by Mummybean 2 Comments

We recently received an invite to attend the Lego Duplo Kids' Event. You already know that we must have accepted the invitation, right? With delight. After all, if there's anything this family loves, it's Lego.Noey was really excited when I told him we'd be going to play with some Duplo, and in an indoor playground to boot. While he fiddles around with Lego quite a bit every day, he is most creative when it comes to building with his Duplo. There's just something about the size and shape of it ... read more

She’s 21

December 2, 2012 by Mummybean 6 Comments

My look-alikes. We know who's the boss here!Naomi's 21 months old today, and quite the handful. So much has changed since my last update on her. Still a baby at 17 months, she's really a little girl now at 21 months, albeit a tiny one. She understands just about everything we say and there's no getting anything by her these days. Just 4 months ago, we were counting each word she knew. In the 4 months since, her vocabulary and knowledge have grown exponentially. From a handful of words, she's ... read more

Shoe Junkie

November 29, 2012 by Mummybean 4 Comments

I was shopping with Naomi one day at Mothercare, and in the midst of browsing, I walked around the corner to the next shelf for a bit to look at some items. After a couple of minutes, I realised she had not followed after me, so I walked back to find her, only to see this: She'd managed to pull off her shoes on her own and was in the process of trying to stuff her feet into a pair of polka dotted shoes which had caught her attention.I was so amused, I bought them for her. (It helped that these ... read more

I am a fan of Four Cow Farm's organic baby skincare line, and today, I'm really excited to be sharing an exclusive promotion that we will be running with them over the next couple of weeks.I've been using Four Cow Farm's products on my kids, especially Naomi who has more sensitive skin, and I am comforted by the fact that their products are all made from 100% organic and natural ingredients, with none of the yucky chemicals. This is Our Family, by Playground Pictures

November 25, 2012 by Mummybean 14 Comments

We were recently offered an opportunity by Playground Pictures to get some family photos taken. I got the photos last week, and what can I say? I love them! With an early morning start, I wasn't sure how cooperative the kids were going to be. Fortunately, Ken came prepared. He and his assistants did a good job engaging the kids, and his handy bag of props certainly kept them occupied! I think the props also helped make the pictures that much more interesting. As anyone who has attempted to take ... read more

Share-A-Gift this Christmas

November 23, 2012 by Mummybean 10 Comments

As America celebrates Thanksgiving, I'm thinking a bit about thankfulness here in our little home too.We don't do Thanksgiving but I know I have much to be thankful for. For a loving husband and beautiful, healthy children. For the opportunity I have to be a stay-at-home-mum, and one with help at that. For the fact that even though I'm not working, I can still indulge in Black Friday Sales and generally not have to worry much about money. Do I think I'm blessed? You betcha. It hasn't been as easy ... read more

Little Goddaughter of Mine

November 21, 2012 by Mummybean Leave a Comment

I went to meet my little Goddaughter for the first time over the weekend.DD's third little Goddaughter, but a special one to me, because this time I get to be Godma, instead of my previous position as Godmother-in-law to her sisters. (That's what I call it, but they just call me Aunty V, really.) This little one is mine, and I was so glad to meet her. It's special, carrying a newborn. Even as a Mum twice over, I still find myself surprised at how tiny they are. My own 20-month old baby suddenly ... read more

Homemade Snow Globes!

November 17, 2012 by Mummybean 14 Comments

I wanted to give Noey's lovely teachers something to thank them for their work over the past year, and I wanted it to be something that Noey could help to make. Given that it is the end of year, with Christmas approaching, this is what we came up with: Homemade snow globes! Created out of old jar jars and made possible by the generous contribution of Lego Santa/Gnome by our in-house Lego supplier (aka Papa). Noey had been asking to make a snow globe after seeing it done on, erm, ... read more
