Noey loves cars, especially the racing sort."Zoooooooooooooooom!" he would shout, at the top of his voice, whether he is pretending to have a race or watching one. Imagine the endless drone of a racing car rising and falling in tone with the gear changes, then couple that with a little boy copying the same sounds at the top of his voice, and that's pretty much how it is in our home! Noey has a particular fascination with F1 cars. "F1 racing cars are the fastest cars in the world!" he says with ... read more
Standing on My Own 2 Feet
I've always thought that Naomi would not be as fast as Noey in reaching her physical milestones. Partly because he was always ahead of the curve in that regard, but also because she does not seem as active a baby. Or maybe it's just that she's less demanding so she seems less active.Whatever the case, she showed that she's no slouch by pulling herself up to standing position all by herself today. She's been looking on the verge of doing it for a while. I think all she needed was a good grip. One ... read more
It’s a Jungle Out There!
On the first day of the school holidays, we took advantage of being free from the school routine by heading out to check out the newest indoor play gym in town, Amazonia, together with FY and her 2 boys. Feels like everyone has been sussing this out recently, from the number of updates I've come across on Facebook and Twitter on this. For us, it was the most impromptu of playdates. I had messaged her the day before, randomly asking if she was going to bring her boys out during the school hols and ... read more
Rochester Ruckus
It's been a very trying few weeks for me, with the kids taking turns to fall sick, a lack of additional help with my Mum being away/unwell, and DD being completely swamped in the office and coming home late everyday.I can barely keep up with essential tasks, much less blog. But I keep returning, because this is my happy space. Which is also why I get very annoyed when someone messes with my blog or with me here. Just DON'T. This is my blog and I will say what I like. If you don't like it, just ... read more
Lanterns and More Lanterns
In celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival on Monday, Noey got to carry lanterns, not once, not twice, but three times for three days in a row.On Saturday with our neighbors in our estate...On Sunday with all the little kiddies at Elly's Lovely Little Lantern Party...And on Monday with us, his old fogies. (Finally in the dark!)I'd say he's very adept at lantern carrying now. He did really well carrying lanterns with a live flame and didn't burn up a single lantern or burn himself in the process. ... read more
Super Six
Hello Meips!I almost can't believe you're 6 months old! Where did all that time go?The truth is though, while little babies are precious, I enjoy bigger babies better. I love it that you're now at an age where we can do more to play, explore, and have fun together. I know you love it too because of that sparkle in your eye when it's playtime. It's all fun and games for you! What are we going to be doing today, Mummy? You're a very vocal little baby. Honestly, I'm not too sure that's a good thing ... read more
First Term, Over
As August came to an end, we came to the end of Noey's first ever school term.School has been quite a journey for this little boy. While he did really well on his first day and a couple of days after that when DD or my parents dropped him off at school, the tears started coming fast and furious when it was Mummy's turn to drop him off. It was probably a combination of the novelty of school wearing off, plus the separation-from-Mummy-anxiety. It was difficult leaving him with his teacher and ... read more
Four Cow Farm
I was offered the opportunity to try some baby products by Four Cow Farm recently.Like any other parent, I want the best for my child. In this case, I was very attracted to the fact that Four Cow Farm's creams and balms are made from 100% natural and organic ingredients. Baby skin is delicate and sensitive, so I'm personally uncomfortable with using products with too many chemicals in them on my bubs. Or on myself for that matter. Research is always evolving on the impact of chemical ... read more
Modelling Elly
Elly loves Wild Friends! Finally, a boy-girl collection, perfect for brother-sister combis.Noey got a turn at being a model recently when Elly put out a search for little boys and girls to showcase their new collection.DD would, when he's done rolling his eyes, tell you that I love getting involved in such things. I immediately volunteered Noey, then started to stress about it, because if you know my son, you'll know that he's more than a little particular about wearing clothes. And changing ... read more
I Get To Vote!
It's Polling Day today. Today, I'll be casting a ballot for the first time in 10 years. Back in 2001, I played a part in making my choice in the General Elections. Today however, we will be voting in a very different election for the President. I thought very long and hard about posting about my thoughts about this election and my choice earlier on, but decided not to. This is mainly because in this election, I know I will not be able to be impartial and objective. Friends on Facebook will know ... read more
