Cailtin Comes Visit

February 26, 2011 by Mummybean 4 Comments

Being mostly housebound these days, we are all too happy to welcome visitors.

On Thursday, we had Caitlin (together with her Mum and Dad) pop by to see us, all the way from Perth. It’s been a while since we last met — I think the bubs were about 7-8 months old the last time they were back in Singapore?

Noey and Caitlin back when we last met in Singapore, and something has obviously caught their attention.

Noey and Caitlin now, at nearly 2.5 years. Unfortunately we didn’t think to whip out the camera when they were actually playing happily together so this is the best shot I got.

I was really glad that the 2 tots were able to settle down to play with Noey’s train set together, leaving us Mummies to catch up. Thankfully Caitlin likes Thomas! I was wondering if Noey’s boy toys would bore her but fortunately that was not the case. And I was really happy that Noey was mostly able to share his trains with Caitlin without kicking up a big fuss. He even happily held Caitlin’s hand and led her into his room (where all the toys are), and came out with art materials which he declared they were going to use to draw together.

He’s come a long way in the last couple of months from being the boy who would ignore other kids and just do his own thing, or the one who would throw a fit if his toys were being messed around with.

Then again, maybe he was just really taken with Caitlin. He asked for her the next day too, Jan!

It’s so nice to see the kids growing up and playing together, especially when they are so close in age, being only about a week apart. Hopefully it won’t be too long before we meet again!
