We took a short 4 day-3 night holiday to Bintan a couple of weekends ago. It's been a while since our last holiday and DD was suffering from holiday withdrawal so when Sophie and her folks suggested going to Bintan, we jumped at the chance. Almost 13 months old on 1 Nov. No pic on 2 Nov!Happy 13th Month my baby. The number 13 is regarded as an unlucky number in some parts but it certainly has not been the case for us. Now that Noey has started to finally show an interest in the eating, I've been able to get him to do a bit of self-feeding, often with amusing results.Bottoms up!Yoghurt-face!Noey's favourite mode of eating is to use his hands and boy, has he been sticking them into everything these days! The day before we left on our trip, DD and I snuck out after putting Noey to sleep to have dinner, just the 2 of us, to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Chomping it All Down

Suddenly, after weeks of refusing virtually any food, Noey is eating like a champ. Opening his mouth and asking for food. Saying please to his porridge. Cleaning out his bowl and asking for more. Mummy’s Boy

Save for a few notable exceptions, everyone says that Noey looks just like me. My Aunt -- the same one who came by with some old baby photos last year -- recently gave me the remainder of my old photos which she had in her possession. I've seen many of these photos before, but now looking at the same photos with my son in front of me at the same age, even I am taken aback by the resemblance. There are some mornings when I am happy to be off to work. This morning was one of those mornings.
